The Absheron District Prosecutor's Office received information about an explosion in the 27th block of Khirdalan, Absheron district at 18:40 on January 25, General Prosecutor's Office told Ann.az.
According to the General Prosecutor's Office, during the inspection of the scene with the participation of employees of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the internal affairs bodies, it was preliminarily established that as a result of an explosion that occurred due to a gas leak in a 2-storey building belonging to Ziyafyat Musaeva (born 1960), located at the address - the city of Khirdalan, Nasiba Zeynalova street, house 1b, the rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations found the body of Ayten Musaeva (born in 1988). At present, the search continues for A. Musaeva's daughter Fatima Musaeva (born in 2012), presumably remaining under the rubble.
At the same time, Ayten Musayeva's husband, Vusal Musayev (born in 1983), living in this house, his son - Firudin Musaev (born in 2009), as well as Khadija Shukurzade (born in 2006), received body injuries of various severity.
As a result of the explosion, 4 residents of a nearby building received bodily injuries of varying severity, as well as damage to the apartments and 4 cars located there.
The criminal case initiated under the relevant article of the Criminal Code in the Operational Investigation Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on January 26, 2021, was classified under Articles 225.3 and 308.2 of this Code, a joint investigation team was created, consisting of professional investigators from the Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor's Office and the Operational Investigation Department of the Ministry for emergency situations. The investigation has been entrusted to the Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor's Office.
At present, prosecutors at the scene of the incident, with the participation of specialists and experts, are examining the scene of the incident; intensive investigative actions are continuing to establish the causes of the explosion and damage caused by the explosion. The perpetrators will be held accountable.
