Member of U.S. Congress issues statement on Khojaly tragedy
“Armenia continues to occupy Khojaly, the occupied area constitutes twenty percent of Azerbaijan”

Member of the U.S. House of Representatives Eddie Bernice Johnson issued a statement on Khojaly tragedy on April 3, press service of the Azerbaijani Embassy in the U.S. told APA. “In blatant disregard of four UN Resolutions calling for the withdrawal of Armenian forces from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, Armenia continues to occupy Khojaly and surrounding territories. The occupied area constitutes twenty percent of Azerbaijan. I ask my colleagues to join me in remembering the victims of this tragedy and do all we can to further the Minsk Group's efforts so there is a peaceful resolution and the people of Nagorno Karabakh can return home,” says the report. Johnson is a member of the U.S. Congress's working group on Azerbaijan.ANN.Az
