Kazakhstan's President calls Karabakh deal historical
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev considers the deal on Nagorno-Karabakh, adopted with the mediation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, to be historic.

The President said this during a CSTO Collective Security Council session held through videoconferencing, Ann.az says, citing RIA Novosti.

"The mediation of President (Russia) Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin to end hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh deserves the highest praise. The agreement reached with Russia's most active participation, in my opinion, is the only correct decision in the current critical situation," Tokayev said.

According to Tokayev, "this agreement will contribute to the establishment of long-term peace in the region."

"In my opinion, this is truly a historic agreement," the head of Kazakhstan added.
