Ebrahim Raisi set to be next president of Iran
Ebrahim Raisi is set to be the next president of Iran early Saturday, Ann.az reports citing TASS.

According to the preliminary results, after counting more than 26 million votes, Raisi lead with 16,507 votes, while his main conservative rival Mohsen Razaei received 3,095,000 votes.

Iranian state media named 60-year-old Raisi as the winner with more than 90 percent of the votes counted.

Razaei admitted his loss, and said in a statement, "I congratulate the Iranian people, who elected Ibrahim Raisi," and expressed his hope for the cleric’s success.
