6 magnitude earthquake jolts Azerbaijan's Zagatala (UPDATED)
Republican Seismic Survey Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences has released the next statement about the earthquake occurred in Zagatala, the Center told Ann.az.

According to the preliminary information, the earthquake was recorded today at 11:35 local time in Zagatala, 18 km south-west of Zagatala station. The earthquake was 6 magnitude in the epicentre, felt up to 5-3 magnitude in the surrounding regions. The depth was 3 km.

Earthquake hits Azerbaijan’s Gakh, Balakan and Zagatala regions, Ann.az reports.

The tremors were felt. Republican Seismic Survey Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences has confirmed the information.

The Center has also released official information related to the earthquake. 

The magnitude of the earthquake was 4.9, the depth was 2 km.
